The waves were big in Virginia Beach this weekend, with some 6-foot-plus faces coming through and breaking well even as we approached high tide.  There were some good sea kayak surfing rides on the shoulders of the bigger sets, but you didn’t want to get too deep on the face in the impact zone.  It made the surf landing a bit hairy — you can see the beach break in the bottom of the photo, but it was a great morning on the water!  Thanks Dee Trousdell for the photo!
